McIntosh Middle School

Extensive additions and renovations to this occupied campus took place in seven phases. Underground utilities, a new bus loop, retention pond, sidewalks, livestock fencing, relocation of portables, relocations of the west end of the school access, relocation of the existing school sign, widening McIntosh Road and the creation of turn and stacking lanes were part of the site work package. A new Media Center, Administration Building and Mechanical Building were constructed; additions to the Gymnasium and renovations and additions to the existing student building took place while students were on campus. A new portable farm was built to house one -half of the students while work was in process. This allowed renovations to one-half of the main building to occur while the other half of the building was occupied by students and faculty.
