G.S.A.  Citizenship and Immigration Services

This 43,000 SF office building for the Citizenship & Immigration Services branch of the Department of Homeland Security through the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) is located in Orlando, Florida, near the Orlando International Airport.   This facility is constructed of a masonry load bearing and structural steel/bar joist shell, TPO roof system, and stucco exterior.    The project is designed to obtain a LEED Silver certification.   Features include Category 2 Blast Rating of the structure, exterior glazing systems, and doors; Category 2 hydraulic vehicular access control devices; and high security controlled access to much of the building.   Interior finishes were selected by the Architect and Owner based on LEED criteria and durability.   Finishes of note include sunflower board, bamboo, cork flooring, polished concrete, and other low emitting materials
